Went and covered the third stop on the Triple Crown out at Belmont Park in Hempstead, N.Y. Over 45,000 attended the day of horse races. Lots of beer, bowties, hot dogs, glamorous hats, sunburns and lost hopes of bettors hoping to hit it big. Here is the day chronicled in images. Yes, that's Sarah Palin in column 3, row 3.
